Latvia: minister supports the idea of dual citizenship

Latvian integration minister supports return to dual citizenship Latvia?s special minister for society integration, Oskars Kastens, supports the idea of reintroducing the possibility of dual citizenship. His opinion is that if Latvians residing abroad were able to obtain dual citizenship it would strengthen their ties to the native country. Previous ministers established a task force in cooperation with non-governmental organizations to look for ways to motivate Latvia?s diaspora to return to their motherland.
