By 2050 Germany aims to derive all of its electricity from renewable energy sources, announced the Federal Environmental Agency on July 7. The wind and the sun already supply 16% of the nation’s needs and thanks to the Renewable Energy Act Germany is the world leader in photovoltaics and the second largest wind-power producer.
