Barcelona fosters eco-entrepreneurship
From the 1st to the 5th of July the Spanish city will host “Incubaeco Barcelona 2013”, a comprehensive programme for eco-entrepreneurs that joins training, mentoring and networking.
Want to get started in the environmental area? Does your project have potential to bring great environmental value? Do you need to settle your ideas and shape your project? Have access to adequate funding?
A Spanish initiative has been launched to tackle these issues. From the 1st to the 5th of July 2013 the Primavera de los Ecoemprendedores (Spring of Eco-Entrepreneurs) comes to Barcelona with Incubaeco Barcelona 2013, an intensive incubation programme for eco-entrepreneurs that joins training, mentoring and networking. Its goal is to promote eco-entrepreneurship projects, from the idea stage to the launch and establishment, maximizing their environmental, social and economic impact along the way.
The programme is organized by Incubaeco, a platform for the promotion of eco-entrepreneurship comprising Emprendae, Inèdit Innovació, Enviu Barcelona, eco-union, Ecoworking BCN and Ecoworking Madrid. The programme also counts a wide network of partners, among which the Regional Activity Center for Cleaner Production of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP/MAP-CP/RAC) , which is also part of the organization of this edition, and Ashoka España.
Incubaeco Barcelona 2013 will offer one-week training and advising sessions to environmental entrepreneurs. On the last day, 5th of July, 15 members of a jury will assess the progress made during the week, rewarding the most relevant projects.
Participants will have the opportunity to come into contact with business angels interested in the green economy and with a remarkable network of key actors in the environmental sector and in entrepreneurship.
