Innovative projects instead of shares, long time investors instead of traders: on the 4th of December, Palais Brongniart, ex headquarters of Paris Stock Exchange, will revive with a very special quotation session, on the occasion of the  Grands Prix de l’Innovation de la Ville de Paris (Paris Big Prizes for Innovation).
40 start up project leaders will present their projects, in the hope to find partners and to launch their initiatives. They will present their innovative projects  in front of a  large public that  will have to raise the rating of the best innovations.
This remarkable innovation stock exchange will put on stage elements of the old economy: the project leaders will be dressed in black and white as in a 50's session and the session will feature a stock exchange bell, open outcry trading, table of quotations, basket.
The City  of Paris is organizing this symbolic quotation 25 years after the closing of the open outcry trading. The overall session will have a duration of one hour with a public of  around 1200 people, gathering institutions representatives, private enterprises and investors
The 40 projects presented at the session have been selected out of 140 applications by a jury composed of the City of Paris, Paris Region Lab, Cabinet FIDAL, Société Générale and Caisse des Dépôts,.
After this event, the 11th edition of the ceremony of the awards of the Prizes of Innovation will take place,  chaired by Jean-Louis Missika, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of Innovation, Research and Universities.
Every year a laureate is elected for each of the six categories of the Grand Prix de l’Innovation: numeric contents, design, health, eco-innovation, innovative services and a special mention:  Design.
The five prizes are worth each 12,000 Euros and they also include the integration of one of Paris  incubators . A 5,000 Euros prize will be awarded for the special mention Design.
The Innovation Big Prizes aim to support the creation of innovative enterprises in big growth sectors, and to award those enterprises which,  through their innovation, will be able to  improve Paris  life. They also have the objective to develop the economic fabric of Paris.
A jury made of recognized experts from the economic and scientific community has studied the presented projects andafter selecting the 30 finalists has chosen  the five winning enterprises.
The call for applications for this edition of the Grands Prix de l’Innovation de la Ville de Paris has proved even more successful than last year’s edition, with around 400 dossiers received from Paris  startups, showing  the vitality of the innovative enterprises of the area.
