Hungary Social Enterprise Day 2014

Organized by NESst for the fourth year in a row, the Day will take place in Budapest, Hungary, on 3 October 2014.

NESsT,  an international organization developing sustainable social enterprises that solve critical social problems in emerging economies, are organizing the fourth Social Enterprise Day in Hungary in Budapest on the 3rd of October 2014. NESst convenes Social Enterprise Day annually in Central and  Eastern Europe and Latin America to promote the development of social enterprises through an  exchange of knowledge and experience. 
These events bring together social enterprise leaders, government, philanthropy, companies, university, individuals, and the nonprofit sector to discuss the concept of social enterprise, get to know successful Central European examples, share experiences and connect.
At Hungary Social Enterprise Day 2014  the opening speech will be by Mihály Varga, Hungarian Minister of National Economy (TBC) and Szabolcs Pákozdi, CEO of National Employment Agency. 
Other speakers at the event include: Aftab Ahmed, Citi Hungary; Gábor Lévai, Civil Support; Dr. Viktória Torma, Házikence Tanoda; Szilvia Varró, X Communication Center; Zsuzsa Fodor, Csimota; Michał Radziwiłł, Social and Economic Investment Company – TISE; Jan K. Verweyen, Alterra Impact Finance.
The afternoon will see three sessions running in parallel: Impact of impact measurement; Beyond the supporting ecosystem: how to get the involvement of the public and the customers?; Tailor-made financing of the social enterprise sector: reality or dream in Hungary?
