Italian NGOs ask the new government new funds for International cooperation

From Civitas – the main European fair on solidarity and social and civil economy organized in Padua the 6th of may – NGOs have asked the new government to strenghten International Cooperation.
Diplomat Gianni Ghisi and Sergio Marelli, President of the Italian Association of NGOs, as well as the Members of Parliament attending the meeting, asked the new government to issue as a priority, in the first 100 days of its mandate, new laws to reintegrate funds allocated for the year 2005: at least 300 million euros, of which 150 million will be designed to solve the Italian debt with the Global Fund, created to fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
