UnLtd World launches new research tool

Social enterprises can access free market research thanks to the newest web tool on UnLtd World.

UnLtd World, the web-based social networking site for social entrepreneurs and their supporters, has launched its ‘research lab’, which lets users access the anonymous details of all 4,000 members to conduct any sort of market research they like.

UnLtd World chief strategist Alberto Nardelli said it was the ‘largest focus group of social entrepreneurs in the UK’.

‘But, what’s really exciting is that because all the data is free and accessible that any organisation, no matter their size, can do market research with no cost,’ said Nardelli.

‘The web tool gives social entrepreneurs an insight into their own marketplace. For example, they can find the numbers of other social businesses, who are registered on UnLtd World, and who are operating in the same field across the UK, or in the same city.’

It also allows users to ‘mix and match’ statistics. ‘For example,’ said Nardelli, ‘if some data was released on crime rates you could mix that data with the information in the research lab to see if there’s a match between crime rates and social enterprises that target crime.’

Nardelli said the research lab provided documents to help people understand how they could best use the data at their fingertips and there would be more tips on the tools and samples to show people what they could do.
