As customary before a new country takes the helm of the EU presidency, Unhcr has issued a set of recommendations for Spain which started its six month mandate on January 1, taking over from Sweden. Noting Spain’s intention to make migration management a key part of its agenda, the organisation called specifically for the new European Asylum Support Office to focus closely on improving quality of asylum decision-making in the EU. www.unhcr.org
