A Charities Aid Foundation May poll has found that, although they want to volunteer, young people are being overlooked by organisations. 85% of the 655 10 to 16-year-olds surveyed thought charities should work harder to engage them and many more would like to help charities than had already done. 65% would volunteer for charity, but only 13% had done so; 75% would give money to charity, but only a quarter had donated.
