The United Nations work agency, the International Labour Organization (Ilo) has warned that social unrest is on the rise. In a report out on October 1, it predicts that the global labour market recession will not end until 2015, two years later than its earlier estimate. To return to pre-crisis levels, 22 million jobs are needed, 14 million in rich countries and 8 million in developing nations. www.ilo.org
