A UK company launches the first fairtrade condom
Perhaps the last frontier of the fair trade market, UK based company French Letter Condoms has launched the first fair trade condom onto the market. The company, that takes its name from the World War II nickname for condoms, sources its rubber sustainably under Fair Trade conditions, meaning that royalties from each pack sold go to ensuring fair wages, healthcare and pensions to a disadvantaged workforce. The condoms are also suitable for vegans. Unlike traditional condoms, they do not use milk-based proteins during production.
