Latvia: 2006 report of incidents in public working space
The number of incidents are slowly but growing year by year
During the year 2006 in Latvia were more than 330 victimes at the public working place. In total there have been injured more than 1614 people.
The number of incidents are slowly but growing year by year. ?It is not normal that people cannot feel safe at the working place?, comments the director of Working inspection in Latvia Rita Elce.
Most common injuries aquire in the building, railway and transport sectors, and most of these letal cases are due to the unrespect toward safty regulations at the working place.
