Italian foundation Aiutare i Bambini turns solar in Milan

Italian foundation, Aiutare i bambini (Help the Children) now light up their buildings and run their pc?s at their headquarters in Milan on solar power. A series of photovoltaic solar panels has been installed on the roof that work parallel to the low voltage electric energy network provided by the electricity board.
The surplus energy is then put into the electricity board?s distribution net, giving more than just a symbolic energetic contribution to the rest of the community. ? I would like to think that our choice will be an incentive for other charities? said Goffredo Modena, the foundation?s president, who added that he hoped that citizens will be encouraged by institutions to use clean energy sources.
