Two new ?Street lawyer? offices should open in Modena and Naples by the end of January. The news was announced by Antonio Mumolo, a lawyer who founded a volunteering enterprise that offers free legal support to the homeless. He is also its coordinator in the 14 Italian cities that have already the project. The city that most recently adhered was Reggio Emilia, where an office was opened on the 16th of December. Now it seems that all is ready for the same to happen in Naples and Modena.

Also in January a pocket booklet called ?Where to go to? should be published. It is a guide that was first designed two years ago aimed at advising the homeless on where to sleep, where to find a free doctor, even what busses to take to get to the destinations as well as a list of useful phone numbers. The lawyers involved in ?Street lawyer? work for homeless people in need of defence lawyer in a court of law or any other legal type of assistance free of charge.
The project began in Bologna in 2001 and has since spread quickly across the Italian peninsula.
