A new survey published by the parol officer union Napo has found that an astonishing amount of former service men populate British prisons, amounting to almost 1 in 10 prisoners being ex-military or double the amount of troops currently in Afghanistan. The survey highlights the difficulties of reinsertion into society and the dealing with widespread severe medical conditions such as post traumatic stress disorder and alcoholism.
