The UK’s Environment Agency has finally signed up the 10:10 campaign to achieve a 10% cut in the country’s carbon emissions in 2010. It will reduce the mileage of its vehicles, buy more electricity from renewable sources and curb the energy use. The agency joins more than 34,000 individuals, 1,225 businesses, 591 organizations and 348 educational institutions. Join the campaign at www.1010uk.org. www.guardian.co.uk
