UK: flying start for health enterprises

The Department for Health in the UK has launched The Flying Start Programme for Social Enterprises in Health (FSPSEH). The 12-month programme will aim to help 40 potential health social enterprises become a reality. It is fully funded and free to anybody with an idea for a health social enterprise providing they hold a qualification from a UK university, college or institution. Participants in the programme will take part in an initial three-day intensive session in Preston during April 2007, and will then receive ongoing assistance from a designated mentor for the rest of the year.
